Hunan Youyi Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., relying on the abundant kiwifruit resources in Fenghuang County, has built a fully automated kiwifruit deep processing production line, which can turn fresh kiwifruit into pulp in just 2 minutes, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of the local kiwifruit industry.
In the fruit pulp production workshop of the company, baskets of freshly picked kiwifruit are washed by high-pressure water flow, and then crushed and ground in the crusher into green kiwifruit pulp in less than 2 minutes. Afterwards, workers are busy sorting, labeling, and canning it.
The kiwifruit industry, as a characteristic pillar industry in Fenghuang County, has been recognized as the Hunan Provincial “One County, One Specialty” Industry and included in the National Poverty Alleviation Industry Catalog. At present, the company’s processed fruit pulp, canned beverages and other products have been sold throughout the country online and offline. This allows consumers to enjoy healthy and delicious food and enhances the reputation of the kiwifruit industry in Fenghuang County.
According to the production manager of Hunan Youyi Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., the beverage production line independently developed by the company in cooperation with equipment manufacturers is the first of its kind in China. Currently, it is the largest kiwi production line in Fenghuang County, and it only takes 2 to 3 minutes to press fresh fruit into fruit pulp.
Since the company started raw material production and processing in September, it has processed about 100 tons of fresh fruit and produced about 80 tons of fruit pulp every day. It’s expected to process around 1,000 tons of fruit pulp this year. Each shift in the company requires 20 to 30 persons, which greatly solves the employment problem for the local people.
